An urgent, DIY, grassroots evening — a gathering rooted in resistance, collective spirit and community care.
The event is raising urgently needed funds for communities in Iran, Lebanon, and Palestine.
Alongside fundraising, we hope to create a space for people to come together in radical action & creative expression -to stand in solidarity against global systems of power and oppression.
With poetry readings from Abu Leila, Cecilia Knapp, Eve Esfandiari-Denney, Hasti, Riwa, S-Bars, Taghrid Choucair-Vizoso and others followed by live music and song from Sara Masry, Sura, Jess Murrain + more. The event will be rounded off by DJs to see out the night.
Co-Hosted by poets Jess Murrain and Hasti, at The Ivy House.
Entrance proceeds will be donated directly to Moms Against Poverty, Beit el Baraka, & MAP.
